if you're a crafter, etsy seller, or interested in the rise of the craft business then handmade nation by faythe levine and cortney heimerl is the book for you ( i should point out the nation in question is the united states). the format of the book is a series of interviews with 24 designers/makers and the fascinating stories of how they got started and when their work really took off. my favourite thing about the book is the photography where we get to see the artists studios and how they layout their stands at the renegade craft fair. see it here on amazon uk or amazon usa.
